- Wasanii Arts was established to promote visual and performing arts but after realizing that there was a desperate need to create a platform on which young people could express themselves, the organization launched into Participatory Community Media and Arts. Through our various participatory programs/projects, young people have now gotten the opportunity to speak out about their challenges, concerns, hopes and fears. In addition, they are able either to learn or enhance a particular skill and in most cases earn a decent income from it. This is particularly important in a country such as Kenya where unemployment is currently at record highs. Our focus areas include Health issues, Governance, Natural Resource Management, Human Rights etc.
